However, there is one major problem with 90% of them, they are completely irrelevant to the blog post.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For example:<\/strong>\u00a0In our <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/blog\/pat-flynn-case-study\/\" target=\"_blank\">Epic Teardown<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/smartpassiveincome.com\" target=\"_blank\">smartpassiveincome.com<\/a> a few weeks back we looked at how Pat used a non-specific opt in bribe to collect email addresses and how we could have conversion rate by at least 5% (probably a lot more) if he offered a download that was more specific to the content of the post.<\/p>\n<p>In this example he wrote a post introducing a new podcast (love the idea), but then at the end of the post he drops the ball by offering a free download about writing eBooks.<\/p>\n<p>Completely unrelated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1171\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Untitled_2_key.png\" alt=\"Untitled_2_key\" width=\"660\" height=\"862\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1171\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Untitled_2_key.png\" alt=\"Untitled_2_key\" width=\"660\" height=\"862\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, Ramit wrote a post about a \u2018stupid test\u2019 he ran that produced awesome results.<\/p>\n<p>He then went on to offer an opt in bribe about\u2026.stupid test that have been successful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Relevant?<\/strong> Check.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quality Material?<\/strong> Check.<\/p>\n<p><strong>High Demand?<\/strong> Check.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1173\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Untitled_2_key1.png\" alt=\"Untitled_2_key\" width=\"672\" height=\"455\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1173\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Untitled_2_key1.png\" alt=\"Untitled_2_key\" width=\"672\" height=\"455\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>He didn\u2019t just give it away.<\/strong> After building up the suspense to the free eBook throughout the 650+ word article he asks you to do one thing to get the free eBook, give him your email address.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a super small step but that one little thing drastically increased his conversion rate. Always look for ways to repurpose your content.<\/p>\n<p>If you are writing a blog post, can you convert that blog post into a video?<\/p>\n<p>Can you make it an email autoresponder series?
