I don&#8217;t send any type of survey if people don&#8217;t buy my course. In fact, you never get a followup email of any sort.<\/p>\n<p>How dumb is that?<\/p>\n<p>I have no clue if people even understand what my course does, much less if it&#8217;s priced and positioned correctly.<\/p>\n<h2>Take this for example<\/h2>\n<p>Currently my course sales\u00a0for $397. It&#8217;s a lot of money.<\/p>\n<p>Yea, it&#8217;s kind of depressing.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\">Three\u00a0Key Elements of How this Works<\/h2>\n<p>Let&#8217;s breakdown the email itself and see why it works so well.<\/p>\n<p>1.<strong> Noah writes the email himself<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anton normally writes the Appsumo emails. So why was this email sent from Noah? Because Noah is the face of the company. Everyone that follows Appsumo knows who Noah is and is familiar with his story. Anton? Not so much.<\/p>\n<p>I am much more apt to respond to an email from someone I am\u00a0familiar with than someone I don&#8217;t have a connection with.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<strong>They didn&#8217;t ask for much at all<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They don&#8217;t ask to get my\u00a0&#8216;feedback&#8217; or some equally lame open ended question.<\/p>\n<p>They simply asked me to fill out a 60 second survey. Not much of a commitment. I&#8217;m in!<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Made a reference to a previous action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second line of the email made reference to an action I\u00a0had taken, opening the sales\u00a0email.<\/p>\n<p>This is powerful. Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because it&#8217;s specific. They cared enough to pay attention to what actions I took then sent me note based on that.<\/p>\n<h2>How can you do the same thing?<\/h2>\n<p>There are two main steps. First, make the survey itself then send it to anyone that has opened the email but has not opted in.<\/p>\n<p>I put together a bonus section with\u00a02 videos showing you\u00a0exactly how to do that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Make the survey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Appsumo used a Google Doc form. One\u00a0positioning tweak\u00a0or price point change\u00a0could mean the difference in you making $2k a month and $10k a month. But you&#8217;ll never know until you ask.<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t been doing it and you aren&#8217;t either.
