Last week, I came across one of the coolest traffic generation strategies I\u2019ve seen in awhile.<\/span><\/p>\n

It started when a GoViral user named Andrei Zinkevich reached out and said, \u201cI\u2019ve added a viral loop to all of my lead magnets and it works like magic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He even attached a screenshot to show off some of his campaign results:<\/span><\/p>\n

(Keep in mind that all of those \u201cActions\u201d in the above screenshot are things like social shares that send even more warm traffic into his funnels.)<\/span><\/p>\n

But there was another type of campaign Andrei mentioned in his email that really sounded interesting:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI also add viral elements to email…I\u2019m directing [subscribers] to important pages and engaging with them on more platforms.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s when I knew we needed to find out more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, I\u2019m going to show you Andrei\u2019s unconventional strategy for turning new email subscribers into ambassadors who spread the word about his business\u2014so you can do the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Business:\u00a0<\/span>Getleado<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

Getleado is a marketing consultancy run by Andrei Zinkevich that helps B2B businesses generate their dream leads.<\/span><\/p>\n

Naturally, Andrei regularly publishes content and resources on the Getleado site to attract new clients.<\/span><\/p>\n

GoViral helps him drive even more traffic to those resources…but not in the way you might think!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Campaign: Converting new email subscribers into ambassadors and loyal fans<\/span><\/h2>\n

Andrei\u2019s campaign starts the way you might expect it to.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors to his website sign up for\u00a0a free email course on B2B marketing<\/a><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

On the thank you page, he uses GoViral to offer a bonus resource in exchange for sharing the course on Facebook:<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a classic\u2014and super effective\u2014strategy you\u2019ve probably seen numerous examples of. It\u2019s simple and it works.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s what happens next that makes this example truly unique.<\/p>\n

At the end of each email in Andrei\u2019s course, he asks subscribers to take an action in order to get sent the next lesson.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes it\u2019s replying to the email. Sometimes it\u2019s clicking a link.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whatever the action, it\u2019s something that helps him learn more about his subscribers. For example, at the end of the first email, he asks why you signed up for the email course:<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s where GoViral comes back in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rather than sending you to a boring ol\u2019 confirmation page, each link goes to a GoViral page that lets you know the next email is on its way…and then offers you a free bonus guide in exchange for upvoting an article Andrei posted on GrowthHackers:<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, the article that gets upvoted has been viewed over 1,700 times:<\/span><\/p>\n

Whoa.<\/span><\/p>\n

So not only is Andrei able to learn about and segment his subscribers by getting them to click links and answer questions…he\u2019s also able to turn those clicks into additional valuable actions!<\/span><\/p>\n

He does the same thing in the sequence\u2019s third email, but with a twist.<\/span><\/p>\n

First, he asks another segmentation question:<\/span><\/p>\n

This time, the links take you to a GoViral page that offers another bonus guide in exchange for subscribing to Andrei\u2019s podcast:<\/span><\/p>\n

The button takes you to a simple page on Getleado where you can listen and subscribe to the podcast on various platforms:<\/span><\/p>\n

So not only is he getting new subscribers to continue promoting his content after they sign up, he\u2019s also getting them to engage with his platform in even deeper ways (like becoming podcast subscribers) right off the bat.<\/span><\/p>\n
