In fact, here are 9<em>other<\/em>\u00a0strategies to use OPA to grow your client base.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Guest Posting<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A constant demand for content is a big pain point for most blogs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you just post once a week for a year, that\u2019s 52 blog post ideas needed! Most bloggers are happy to have help with some of them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>\u00a0is to find blogs that fit your expertise.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>\u00a0is to start commenting and answering questions from fellow readers. You don\u2019t have to spend all your time doing it, just a few genuine comments so that your name becomes familiar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now, for <strong>step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Reach out to the blog admin, and offer your writing skills to them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Alternatively, you could skip steps 1 and 2 and cold-pitch your blogging skills to the admin. That often works too. Just make sure that your proposed topic answers a question that their audience has (if you can prove it with screenshots, even better).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Facebook Live, Instagram Live, YouTube Live Guesting<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>What applies to blogs also applies to your fellow coaches or influencers in your niche.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>They, too, are desperate for content.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Another way to fill that content gap is to offer to do Facebook, Instagram or YouTube Live guesting. This is a great option if your skill set and comfort zone align with a phone camera more than with written content marketing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Quick example of this method in action:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/talkcollegetome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marisa Meddin<\/a>\u00a0is an online course creator who helps parents and teens navigate the college admissions process.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>She identified a Facebook group called Road2College that hosts live trainings\u00a0on college prep for its 40,000+ members.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Marisa pitched Road2College on letting her teach their audience her best strategies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pasted-image-0-3.png\" alt=\"Marisa and the Partner who managed the Facebook page along with the Large audience she was newly exposed to.\" width=\"731\" height=\"371\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.growthtools.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pasted-image-0-3.png\" alt=\"Marisa and the Partner who managed the Facebook page along with the Large audience she was newly exposed to.\" width=\"731\" height=\"371\" \/><\/noscript><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The results?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Not only did she get 275 of the viewers to join her email list, she also generated 33 sales for her course (a total of over $3k in revenue).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>All from one short presentation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. <\/strong><strong>Social Media<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Takeover<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This is an example of <em>literally<\/em>\u00a0borrowing someone else&#8217;s audience for generating leads. For a day, you&#8217;ll get full control of the other person&#8217;s social media\u00a0and be able to interact directly with their audience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This tends to be more casual than a formal live guesting, so look for ways to make it light, fun, and informative. Or a spare hour of your time?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Contact one of your partners (or find a new one that fits your niche) and offer to do a social media\u00a0giveaway for their followers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Everyone likes free stuff. Keep the offer small and relevant so that the people who follow you are likely to buy.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8. Offer \/ Discount Swaps<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Contact an existing partner (this works best if it\u2019s someone who already knows and trusts you) and propose you do an offer or discount swap: You give something for free to their audience; they give something for free to yours.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This is a good way to build on past successes with that person\u2019s audience. This often works best with small businesses, or at least ones that are close to yours in size.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9. If they share your podcast\u00a0episode with their audience, it\u2019s just one more way to bring in high-quality leads.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>That exposure to other audiences is why podcasts\u00a0can be a successful business\u00a0strategy; if you aren\u2019t seeing results from guest podcasting, then don\u2019t use this strategy.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10. Guest Emailing<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Guest Emailing is one of my favorite OPA digital marketing\u00a0strategies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>&#8220;But isn&#8217;t Guest Emailing basically the same thing as Guest Blogging?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Yes &#8230; but also, no.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>What most people don&#8217;t know is that it requires a fraction of the effort and produces 10x the results.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Why?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Because, with Guest Emailing, you don\u2019t need to create a blog post from scratch.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Let me explain.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A while ago, we did a Guest Emailing partnership with Infusionsoft (a large email service provider in our niche) and gained 2,200 new subscribers<em>in the first week.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>All we had to do was ask Infusionsoft to email our lead magnet\u00a0as a free gift to their audience. Poster Child Formula<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This lead generation strategy\u00a0is so good that we coined a name for it. Here&#8217;s how it works:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>All businesses and influencers want <strong>proof <\/strong>that whatever they&#8217;re selling or teaching <em>works.<\/em>\u00a0They want to show it to the whole world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And they know (as you do too) that the best way to do so is through social proof (i.e., testimonials).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The idea behind the Poster Child Formula is for <em>you<\/em>\u00a0to become that success story. The poster child, in other words.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>How?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Step 1: <\/strong>Find a partner whose audience fits your target market.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Document all the benefits and results you get from their products or teachings.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 3: <\/strong>Reach out to them, and tell them how awesome they are, and why.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The most likely scenario that will follow is that the company or influencers will (1) be ecstatic and (2) feature you in their marketing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>They&#8217;ll put <em>you<\/em>\u00a0in front of <em>their<\/em>\u00a0audience, free of charge. Teaching Team-Ups<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Similar to guest content or partner webinars, another tactic you can try to fill a content gap is a teaching team-up.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Whether you do this via Zoom, Facebook Live, or any other social media\u00a0platform doesn&#8217;t matter. What does matter is to make sure that both you <em>and<\/em>\u00a0your partner <strong>fill the audience&#8217;s demand for valuable content.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>How do you do it?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Prepare a lesson on a topic that your partner&#8217;s audience cares about, that also fits your area of expertise.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Run your lesson down with your partner, and ask for feedback. Have them do the same.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Ask your partner to promote registration for the free lesson to their audience, and do the same yourself.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 4: <\/strong>Teach the lesson.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Step 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Don&#8217;t forget to pitch your coaching business\u00a0to everyone who attended.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you&#8217;re unsure exactly what to teach your partner&#8217;s audience, look at the discussion threads on their social media\u00a0posts, blog, or YouTube content.
